From as early as he can remember, Michael Trezza’s world revolved around art, engineering and learning. He studied fine art and painting in college, still plays guitar every day and turned an early passion for programming and technology into his first business while still in college. Michael spent the next two decades as a technology entrepreneur, creating powerful software solutions and working with businesses from midsize to Fortune 500 companies to position them for exponential growth.

Everything changed in 2017 when he found out he and his wife were having a baby girl. Michael immediately began to think differently, and to think about the world he was bringing her into. He began to wonder if today’s educational system was really going to prepare her for what he imagined the future to look like. He wondered what the world was going to look like when she was his age… Being a technology innovator for his entire career, Michael has seen firsthand how rapidly the world has changed and specifically where the current educational system is no longer keeping pace. He believes that we’re not preparing our children to be leaders in this increasingly dynamic world.

Over the last 3 years, Michael shifted his entire life’s work and mission to better prepare teens with self-awareness, global-awareness and 21st century critical thinking skills. His work and his company, Giant Leaps Learning, is fulfilling his promise to his daughter, to leave the world a better place than when he found it.

Andrew Heaton is a comedian, author, and political satirist. He’s the host of “The Political Orphanage” comedy and news podcast, and scifi deep dive podcast “Alienating the Audience.” He’s a frequent Reason TV contributor and hosted the popular webseries “Mostly Weekly.” He’s performed standup comedy at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, as a finalist in the China International Standup Competition, and throughout the United States and Europe.He once opened for William Shatner, who said he’s “very funny.” So there.

As a political comedian Andrew has entertained numerous think tanks and advocacy groups, student associations, and sinister political action committees. He’s a regular at Electoral Dysfunction at the People’s Improv Theater in New York, and the Totally Dishonest Media Show at Stand Up New York. He hosted the award-winning series EconPop, a comedy show which explained economics through popular culture.

Andrew Heaton is a former congressional staffer and the author of the best-selling work of political satire Laughter is Better Than Communism, and two funny paranormal novels: Frank Got Abducted (about aliens) and Happier as Werewolves (a tender coming of age novel involving werewolves).

Fred Joyal made the leap from being an advertising copywriter to starting 1-800-DENTIST with a good friend of his. Together they built a company that grew to $50 million annually. The endless challenges they faced in expanding the business led to the simple philosophy, “Let’s just make survivable mistakes.”

There were times when the whole business seemed at risk, and what saved it time and time again were the relationships developed over the years, whether it was with bankers, alliance partners or just friends who stepped up with a quick loan.

Their most effective overall strategy was to grow people in every position. Many VPs had started in the call center. It was a culture of learning and support, and it ran for 25 years before Google and other forces shrunk it to almost nothing.
